Joan Marie - Women supporting women

Joan Marie Classics Line Has a Successful Preview at a Charity Luncheon to Benefit Safe Horizon.
Star Dog recently attended the Joan Marie Classic Fashion Show Luncheon at Rossini's in NYC
It was an unveiling of  The Joan Marie Classic Loungewear line that benefits The Safe Horizon Organization.
Denise Ricciotti of Star Dog w/ Joan Marie

The event was hosted by Tony Award winning producer Dale Badway who kept us laughing and entertained.

Joan Marie Classics is a new line of lounge, party and pajama wear using the most luxurious, vibrant fabrics intended to bring high-end style and comfort to the discerning, modern woman.  Joan Marie Classics takes beautiful design and infuses it with feelings of fluidity, empowerment and femininity in their first ready-to-wear collection.
Here are a few of my favorites

The Complete collection can be view on thier website
The Joan Marie Classic Collection was created by  the mother/daughter team of Joan Marie Ambrose and Joan Marie Whelan.

With this dynamic duo overseeing every aspect of thier creations, it can be said that every piece was designed from the heart from divine inspiration and vision. In fact, the mission of Joan Marie Classics in the words of it’s founders is “to celebrate femininity and womanhood as we help you ignite the divine power, love and strength within you.”

Joan Marie Classics has proudly teamed up with Safe Horizon, the nation’s leading victim assistance organization.  Their goal is to grant $1,000.00 awards to girls or women recommended by Safe Horizon who need assistance in moving forward with their lives.  Their partnership with Safe Horizon  brings awareness to issues of abuse and how it impacts our communities, our homes and our workplace. A portion of the proceeds from the new lounge wear collection goes to Safe Horizon.

It was an afternoon of fashion, fun and charity.

Fashion Compassion

In Support of the charity Liquid Water

What a thrill it was to have Star Dog's socially responisble t-shirts on the runway at the 2nd annual Fashion Compassion Runway Event.

This was our first fashion show and we were honored to be amongst the likes of the amazing Jazmin Brown designs and Mandee's Department stores.

The red carpet event sponsored by Bridget O'Brien PR,  included a special performance by teen sensation Nick Tangorra as well as, vendors for shopping, silent auction and raffles!

Beautiful Fashion Model & Author Lea Rannells organized and hosted the event and rocked the runway.

The entire night the was dedicated to raising money for The Liquid Water Organization.  Clean water is something most of us in the modern world take for granted every single day, but for many who live without clean water everyday, it's life and death. No one should be without clean water, which is why The Liquid Water Foundation was founded to bring together people and bring safe, clean drinking water to the world's poorest.

I am extremely proud of my friend, Lea Rannells, and impressed with her efforts. It's one thing to recognize a problem on the other side of the world -- and it's another thing entirely to do something about it. The evening raised enough funds to provide two wells to impoverished communities.

To find out more about this wonderful organization and what you can do to help.  Visit the Liquid Water website.
